Run for the Meatball - Sunday February 23, 2020
The Run for the Meatball is a fun 5 km race on an "out and back" course. The race begins at Charry Park (just over the East End bridge), across the Mission Island bridge to the turnaround and back to Charry Park. Your registration includes a post-race spaghetti and meatball lunch and awards ceremony. Awards are presented for; top female, top male and the Kathie Chezick Award. Always a fun race - and you never know what the weather has in store!
About Kathie Chezick
Kathie was woman who had a great love of running. She always had a smile on her face while training and competing. She always felt an incredible amount of joy when watching her fellow athletes reach their goals. The Meatball was her last local race. In memory of Kathie, this award is given to the female runner (50 and over age category) who finishes closest to Kathie last Run for the Meatball time.
June Classic - Saturday June 1, 2019
The June Classic is held the first Saturday in June at Boulevard Lake. You have a choice of 5k & 10k distance. This chip-timed event is not to be missed!
Canada Day 5k Run - Mon. July 1, 2019
Held at Centennial Park, this 5k race is a great introduction to trail running for runners and walkers of all abilities!
Northwood Hills 5km - Sunday July 14, 2019
There's hills in Northwood? Yes, there is! It added to the fun of this 5km race that is run on the Northwood Bike trails.
Chippewa Challenge 4 & 8KM - Sunday September 29, 2019
You have a choice of a 4 or 8k distance for this (gravel) road and off-road race at Chippewa Park.

Frostbite Run - (was to be Sunday December 15, 2019)
Unfortunately, this run has been cancelled for 2019.
Norm'S Pumpkin Run - Saturday October 26, 2019
Originally held on the dirt roads of Murillo, this annual event starts and ends at the Slovak Legion. You can walk or run the 5 or 10 mile routes - or anything in-between. Wearing a costume is definitely encouraged! Your registration includes a post-run chili lunch. Prizes are awarded for the best costumes and, in keeping with tradition, everyone leaves with a loaf of freshly baked bread from the Murillo Bakery.
This fun run is named in honour one of the the founding members of the club: the late Norm Holman.
